Privacy policy

This policy covers saveanegg.com, an independent guide to HatchLabs' Roblox game Save an Egg (created 28 Aug 2026). It was last changed on 2 Nov 2026. Questions go to [email protected]. We do not run a user account on this site.

What loads on a normal visit

Three third parties load by default on the first page view, before you touch the banner: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-7RNQTLMGGH, served by googletagmanager.com with measurement requests to google-analytics.com), Microsoft Clarity (project z79983cmp5, session recordings and heatmaps, using www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and regional *.clarity.ms collectors) and Adsterra (publisher 3403020: one Native Banner unit and one floating Social Bar). The consent banner still appears on that first view; it is a notice with Accept and Reject, not a gate.

Press Reject and the site saves your refusal for 180 days, sends denied storage settings to Google and Microsoft, removes the ad units and reloads the page to end scripts already running. The reloaded page and later views read that record before creating any Adsterra or Clarity script. The GA4 library still loads in consent-denied mode: it does not read or write Analytics cookies in that mode, but can send cookieless measurement requests. Reject does not undo requests already sent or remove every cookie a vendor previously set. Press Accept in Cookie settings to enable the vendors again. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track = 1 counts as Reject.

Separately, YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com, Google) is not loaded with the page. The player iframe is created when you press Play video on a guide; that click can let Google set cookies and read the embed. Our fonts are bundled, not fetched from a font CDN, and the pages are served by our own host behind Cloudflare, which processes requests as our CDN and DNS provider.

Site storage and vendor cookie names

The first two rows are storage written by this site. The remaining names describe vendor cookies that may be used when storage is enabled; browser settings and vendor behavior determine which appear. Vendor retention values are not inferred from this site's 180-day choice.

Adsterra's own cookies are set on its domains, not on saveanegg.com; page script here cannot read them, and their exact names and lifetimes are controlled by Adsterra and its demand partners. See the Adsterra privacy policy for the current list. Clearing site data for saveanegg.com in your browser removes the two local-storage keys above; it does not remove vendor cookies set on other domains.

If the browser sends Global Privacy Control, or Do Not Track is 1, the site saves denied, skips Adsterra and Clarity and hides the initial banner. GA4 still loads with denied storage settings and may send cookieless requests. You can open Cookie settings later; an active browser privacy signal continues to take priority on subsequent views.

What these services do

GA4 measures traffic and engagement; Clarity provides session recordings and heatmaps; Adsterra funds the guide through advertising. These services can receive request information such as your IP address, browser details and page URL. We do not operate a visitor account system. Adsterra's setup record has adult advertising disabled; the advertiser and its partners control the individual creative.

Personalised advertising and opt-outs

To opt out of personalised advertising from companies that participate in industry programs, use Google Ad Settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out, or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out. You can also block third-party scripts with a browser extension; the guide's text still works. Reject on this site stops Adsterra and Clarity after reloading and places GA4 in consent-denied mode. Google's cookieless requests can continue.

Retention, transfers and your rights

Our own consent and ad-bar records expire after 180 days. Vendor-side data retention and international processing follow the linked vendor policies; this page does not claim a verified account-specific retention setting. You can ask what information we hold, request deletion of an email you sent to [email protected], and change the site's storage choice at any time in the footer. You can also contact your local data protection authority.

We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly collect data from children; the guide is readable without an account, and we never ask for a child's name.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. The note at the bottom records the edit and what was not verified.

Questions

Do ads and analytics load before I choose?

Yes. GA4, Microsoft Clarity recordings and Adsterra ads load by default. Reject stops Adsterra and Clarity after a page reload and changes GA4 to consent-denied mode, which can still send cookieless requests. The choice lasts 180 days.

How do I change my choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer. Accept enables ads and analytics again. Reject saves your refusal for 180 days and reloads the page to stop the existing ad and recording scripts. Hide ad bar separately controls the floating advertisement.

Does the site sell my data?

No. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run an account system that would tie a visit to your name.
