How to Play Save an Egg
HatchLabs created Save an Egg on Roblox on 28 Aug 2026. The official description is a chase: find a stealer, slide the egg loose, scoop it, time a flip, and walk it home. The steps below stay inside that description, the player wiki, and two public videos from 1 Nov 2026.
The rescue loop
- Find a stealer carrying a stolen egg. The official art shows a goblin with a sack.
- Slide into the stealer so the egg comes loose.
- Slide over the dropped egg and pick it up.
- When the golden ring shrinks into place, flip for a Perfect Rescue.
- Carry the egg to the Safe Zone on your own plot.
- Place it and let it hatch into a pet that shows money per second.
- Train your own speed, then chase faster stealers and open new biomes.

Credits, plots, and secrets
Other players can slide into you and take credits, and you can do the same. That line is in the official description and in the wiki credits notes. Upgrading the plot all the way to the Celestial Fence is what the Max Plot badge describes. The official description also says secret pets exist. A size potion can re-roll an egg's size; the wiki lists sizes from Normal through Colossal, and one clip says "colossal common" out loud.
A support prompt in that same clip asks the player to join, favorite, and like before a claim. I treat that as a popup one player saw, not as a reward table.
Speed gates I will and will not merge
The wiki lists Forest, Frost at 500K, Storm at 2M, Moon at 10M, and Ember. Kikatsu's video at about 12:20 shows an Ocean gate at 100K, which the wiki does not list. I keep both. I do not call the six names a complete map. Frost, Storm, Moon, and Ember are one wiki source each. Ocean is one video source.
Questions
How do you slide in Save an Egg?
On PC, hold the mouse button and steer with WASD. On a phone, hold SLIDE and steer with the stick. Aim at the stealer, then slide over the egg that drops.
What is a Perfect Rescue?
A golden ring appears and shrinks. Press Space on PC, or FLIP on a phone, when the ring is in the window the public clips describe. Reaching the ring does not trigger the flip by itself.
How do I train my speed?
The official description says to train your speed so you can catch faster stealers. That is the player's speed, not a pet's speed. Ocean, Frost, Storm, and Moon gates also ask for a speed number.
Where does a rescued egg go?
Bring it to the Safe Zone and place it on your plot. A public clip showed one egg on a 1 hour 40 minute hatch timer. That single timer is not a rule for every egg.
